Online
Caribbean Stud Poker is another very popular
game with online and land based pker players.
However the games differs slightly between countries.
It is definitely a slightly different game in
Europe and the United Kingdom than here in the
USA.
It is called Casino Five Card Stud Poker in
these countries and there is no prized Jackpot
in most of their casinos. Those that do have
a Jackpot refer to this game as casino stud
poker.
Do note however that whilst the payouts may
differ between the USA and the UK the rules
are basically very similar.
Maximum bets can be $100 on ante and $200 on
raise where the payouts take place. The highest
hand is the Royal Flush which can have a payout
as high as $10,000.00
You will find smaller casinos require the dealer
to shuffle the cards whilst the bigger casino
establishments who offer huge Jackpots use a
card shuffling machine to shuffle before the
dealer is allowed to distribute the the
chip dropper system is not used in the UK, they
have their own unique system.
A game is on when the dealer shows Ace/King,
if he does not show this players playing for
the Jackpot must also show their cards, if they
are not then they are not shown.
The important thing is that Caribbean Stud Poker
is played not against other players but against
the casino house.
The rules of this game are very similar to 5
card stud poker. And like all games played against
the house, the house has an edge which ensures
they will win in the long run. Great tactics
like bluffing and aggresive play will not work
in this version of poker.
