When
you play this exciting game, make sure you take
into consideration the following baccarat strategies:
1. An always safe bet to make would be betting
on the house to win. The house has a slight edge
to winning over the player and therefore it would
be wise to place your money with the house.
Another thing is that the house charges a commission
on all house bets. In the end you will still earn
more with a house bet.
2. But bets are important. So important in fact
that it is possibly the only way to be profitable.
Remember however the house always have an edge.
- The house edge is 1.24% whenever you choose
your own hand to win
- If you pick the bankers hand to be winning hand
then you face a house edge of 0.6% or 1.06%. This
depends on the % cut the house takes, be it 4%
or 5%.
- Betting on the tie bet gives you the worst odds.
The house edge becomes 5% or 14%. It is 14% for
a payout of 9:1 and 4% for 8:1
Bottom line is look for a game where the house
cut is 4% and bet banker all night. Otherwise
its like tossing coins betting either the banker
or player.
3. This is like a repeat of strategy 2 above but
it is worth reoeating. You should avoid the tie
wager altogether. First, because you only have
9.5% chance of winning and also because the house
only pays 8 to 1 when the odds are actually 9.5
to 1. This gives the house a 14% advantage on
all tie bets.
The odds of either winning or losing are nearly
identical with each hand you play, so you should
not bet based on a winning or losing streak.
Some players insist that they see trends or streaks
in a series of hands and can win if they bet on
the streak continuing. This thinking is false
and has no effect on the actual outcome of each
baccarat hand.
4. Can you improve the odds in your favor? NO!
except of course staying away from the tie bet
completely. Try as much as possible to avoid card
counting because it won't do you much good in
the end.
It is useless in this game. The stats reveals
that any advantage to be gained by card counting
in baccarat is so minute that its laughable and
its only available when you are down to the bottom
of the shoe. Its like winning $1 for risking $100,000.
5. And as with all other games of chance, and
even a few games of skill, have fun. It is pointless
trying to play a game like baccarat just for profit.
Think about it, you are playing a game that was
played by Kings and Knights, and very noble men.
Just enjoy the honor and put the baccarat strategies
into action! |
